    Do you store my uploaded bank statements?
    Absolutely not. ProperLet is a "Zero-Retention" system. Files are processed in-memory for analysis and are permanently deleted from our servers the moment the report is generated. We are fully GDPR compliant.
    Does this replace professional referencing?
    No. ProperLet is a Pre-Screening Tool. Standard referencing checks credit history (past). We check document integrity (present). We recommend using our tool to filter out fraud instantly for free, then paying for a full reference on your final candidate.
    How does the "Forensic Check" work?
    We analyze the "Digital DNA" (Metadata) of the PDF. Legitimate bank statements are generated by banking systems. Fake statements are often touched by editing software (Photoshop, Canva). Our system detects these digital fingerprints.
    What is the pricing?
    ProperLet is currently in Public Beta. To validate our fraud detection technology and cover our infrastructure costs, we are offering the Document Quick-Scanner for UK landlords.
    Can I upload scanned paper documents?
    Yes. Our system uses OCR to read scanned files. However, for the highest security, we recommend using original digital PDFs (downloaded from a banking app) to allow for deeper metadata analysis.
